- BECOMING A MEMBER
ORGANISATION
ICASE invites national, sub-national and multi-national
organisations interested in the promotion of science and
technology education to join its worldwide network around
the world. Organisations eligible to join are STAs, Science
Societies, Institutes, Universities (or University
Departments/Faculties), Industries, Companies Centres and
Museums. These organisations may have a sole interest in
science education (or in one of its sub-disciplines such as
biology, chemistry, physics, earth sciences) or have wider
interests one of which is science education.

ICASE MEMBERSHIP AND SUBSCRIPTION RATES FOR 2011
Full membership – annual rates for associations/societies
These rates are based on membership size as reported by the
organisation.
Membership fee, for Science Teacher Associations, is based
on an expected levy of US$1, or less, per each member of
their association per year.
Rates for societies, centres et, where they are full memebrs,
are judged on the size of the organisation which may include
staffnumbers and others involved as participants or
organisers by mutual agreement between ICASE and the
organisation.
University or Faculties/Depts of Universities, etc which are
ICASE associate members are classified as institutional
members.

151 – 1000 members: US$195; AUD$205; €145; £125
1001 – 1500 members: US$350; AUD$365; €260; £225

Where does the membership money go ?
Postage costs
Seed money and support for activities (symposia, workshops,
conferences; projects)
Small amounts go to administrative costs associated with
finance, publications or other activities
Maintenance of website, mailing lists.
ICASE membership money does not go towards:
Time spend on ICASE work by Executive Committee members
Travel and accommodation by Executive Committee members (except
in cases where their presence is essential and then only
where the national organisation, nominating the officer for
the ICASE post, is unable to assist)
Presidential and Management Committee, non-project, costs
